Mrs. Irene Gravit of 818 Milton Ave., who would have been 77 Friday, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Hospital.
A licensed practical nurse for 15 years, Mrs. Gravit was born at Higbee, Mo., the daughter of William and Blanche Givens Bohannon, and had resided in Springfield most of her life.
She was a member of St. Cabrini Church.
Surviving are one son, Charles E., of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Velma Zindel, of Moweaqua; one brother, Charles Bohannon, of Forest City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were at St. Cabrini Church.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
