Rachael Winifred Chambers was born July 15, 1885 in Milam County, Texas, daughter of Columbus Chambers and Mary (maiden name unknown). In 1900, Rachel, age 14, born July 1885 in Texas was living in Justice Precinct 1, Texas (Milam County) with her father, Columbus, a farmer, age 53, born April 1847 in Alabama; and her mother Mary, age 42, born September 1857 in Texas. The census shows that Columbus and Mary had been married 27 years and that they had given birth to six children, of which all six were still living. Also living in the household was Rachel's siblings, Earnest, a farm laborer, age 19, born November 1880; Jennie, age 18, born February 1882; and Willie, age 9, born October 1890; all born in Texas.

In about 1900, Rachel married Arthur Victor Corley, who was born November 28, 1876, in Reveille, Arkansas (Logan County), son of James F. Corley (1851-1906) and Martha Carolina Simmons (1853-1883).

In 1910, Rachel, age 25, born in Texas; and Arthur, a farmer, age 33, born in Arkansas; were living in Justice Precinct 1, Texas (Milam County). They had four children living with them: Jack, age 7; Annie, age 5; Earl, age 3; and Steve, age 1; all born in Texas. In 1920, Rachel, age 34, born in Texas; and Arthur, a farmer, age 43, born in Arkansas; were still living in Justice Precinct 1, Texas (Milam County). They had eight children living with them: Jack, age 17; Anna Lee, age 15; Earl, age 13; Stephen, age 11; Beulah, age 8; John, age 6; A. V., age 4; and Kenneth, age 2; all born in Texas.

Arthur died in about 1926 in Oklahoma. In 1930, Rachel, a widow, age 43, born in Texas was living with her son, Earl, a garage mechanic, age 22, born in Texas; in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). Also living in the household was Rachel's son, John, age 19; and her daughter, Annie, age 25; and her son, Oval, age 4; all born in Texas.

Rachel died October 31, 1967, in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Highland Cemetery.
