Maria was born in Italy 1866. She married 1st, "Bennie" Taddeo with whom she had two children, Giovanni and Angeline. About 1897 she married Dominico Abrunzo with whom she had four more children, Anthony, Francis, Mary and Anna. Dominic left for the United States shortly after the couple married and Maria and the younger children joined him in Plymouth, MA c. 1905. The family eventually moved to Syracuse, NY.

Services for Mrs. Maria Abrunzo who died Sunday, will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. tomorrow at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Urciuoli, 2106 Lodi St, and at 3 P. M. in the Church of the Redeemer, where the Rev. Nicola DiStefano will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
