At the age of 84, Lois M. Simpson died on her Aug. 6, 2010 at South Jersey Health Care Center, Mays Landing, NJ. She was born in Audubon on Aug. 6, 1926 to Joseph and Ethel Purvis and had four brothers and one sister. She married and moved to Magnolia with her husband of 57 years and they had two children. Upon retirement, they moved to Ocala, Fla., living there 14 years. When they returned to New Jersey, they lived in Mays Landing.
She enjoyed working in her flower garden, crocheting, doing crafts, and doing word search and Sudoku puzzles
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Sr.; and a son, Robert W. Jr.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband; daughter-in-law from her son; two granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service was held Aug. 11 at the Boakes Funeral Home in Mays Landing. Interment was at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell
