Carolyn Conway Yaggi Barnhart, 76 of Rocky Mount passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011. Carolyn was born Nov. 26, 1934 in New Philadelphia, Ohio a daughter of the late Henry Joseph Yaggi and Jule Conway Yaggi (Jule Eleanor Price Yaggi). She was preceded in death by a son Harry Barnhart on March 8, 2011. She graduated from VPI in 1958 and was chosen Miss VPI her sophomore year.

Surviving are her daughter, Ellen Irons and husband Jim; son, Stephen Barnhart and wife Beth; grandchildren, Ashley and Kristen Irons, Daniel and Elizabeth Barnhart; special cousin, Margaret Davidson; step mother, Annie Yaggi. Her family would like to express a special thanks to Heather Ferguson.

Graveside services will be conducted from Mountain View Memorial Park 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Bill Hinton officiating. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
