Following a sudden illness, Roy Leon Covington, 50, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

He has resided in Borger since 1927 and was employee of the Phillips Petroleum Company for many years.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Covington, Mountain Home, Ark., six brothers, Arthur and Don Covington, Borger, Norman Covington, Phillips, Wallace Covington of Peoria, Ill., Hirram Covington of Flippin, Ark., and Houston Covington of Idaho, one sister, Mrs. Daine Hopper, Melvin, Ark.

The body was sent by the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown to Mountain Home, Ark., where services and interment will be held.
