Carole Kay (Barnes) Ronay, sister of two Montpelier residents, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at her home in Rockport, Texas.

Mrs. Ronay was born Feb. 22, 1945, in Hartford City, to Wilbur Howard and Crystal Maralene Richwine Barnes. She and her husband, James. E. Ronay, recently moved from Austin, Texas, to Rockport to enjoy their retirement years on the coast.

She had retired from 3M after 38 years of service in Hartford City, St. Paul, Minn., and Austin, Texas.

Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Sones of Hartford City and Pamela (Ken) Hunter, Montpelier; a brother, Michael (Cheryl) Barnes, Montpelier; and three nephews and two nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church on CR 600E in Blackford County with Pastor Chris Stalman officiating. A visiting hour with the family will begin at 2 p.m.

Preferred memorials are to the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church.
