Atherton, born 9-8-1868, died 1944; Charles Atherton, born 1870-1871, death date unknown; David Francis Atherton (name reversed later to "Frank David") born 4-13-1872, died 11-6-1929 in Hamilton, Butler Co., Ohio. Graves of John H. and Frank David are located in Greenwood Cemetery: Hamilton, Butler Co., Ohio. The state where Minerva died is unknown at this time. Her cause of death is also unknown.
James C. Atherton, remarried a woman named "Elizabeth" a few years after Minerva's death and had three other children born in Illinois. By the time James C. Atherton appeared in Arizona in the 1900 U.S. Census, there was only one child living with him and his wife and that was Sewall Truax Atherton, born 6-27-1879, died 2-1-1941 in Sanders Co., Montana. James died 12-31-1906 in Phoenix, Arizona, and he is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. James' 2nd wife, Elizabeth, died 3-16-1902, in Phoenix, Arizona, and is buried in Rosedale Cemetery there since Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix had not yet opened.
