SANFORD, Jay, 83, passed away in Kalispell Saturday evening (February 10, 1968). Survived by five sons; five daughters; one brother; numerous grandchildren. Body forwarded to Carroll Funeral Home, Deer River, Minn., for services and interment.

Jay Sanford, 83, died in Kalispell Saturday (Feb. 10, 1968). Mr. Sanford was born Jan. 11, 1885 in Hubbard County, Minn. He spent most of his life in Minnesota until Sept. 1967, when he came to Montana. Since then he has lived with his sons at Thompson Falls and Kalispell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, in 1955, and is survived by five sons, Larry and Harley Sanford, Kalispell; Frank Sanford, Thompson Falls; Louie and Varley Sanford, Marquet, Fla.; five daughters, Zeta Voigt, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Amy Hauck, International Falls, Minn.; Stella Vorel, Tucson, Ariz.; Mary Skaja and Vivian Rutanen, St. Cloud, Minn.; one brother (Louie) in Wisconsin and several grandchildren. The body is being forwarded by the Johnson Funeral Home to the Carroll Funeral Home at Deer River, Minn., where services and interment will be conducted.
