GINGERICH, Ivan J. Peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2011 at his residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Ivan was formerly of Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston and had farmed for a number of years at Shantz Station. He was born in Wilmot Township 100 years ago a son of the late Louis and Katherine (Katie Jutzi) Gingerich. Beloved husband of Edna (nee Bast) who predeceased him July 12, 1988 and whom he married November 15, 1934. Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Dorothy Wagler of New Hamburg. Also missed by his nephews and nieces Verlus and Marietta Gingerich, Ron and Judy Gingerich, Robert and Shirley Gingerich, Don and Rose Wagler, Judy and Harold Shantz, Keith and Saundra Bast all of New Hamburg, Shirley and Al Koch of Wroxeter, Ken and Laura Bast of Hawksville and Orval and (Jackie predeceased) Bast of Tavistock. Also remembered by many great-nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by his brothers Willis and Mabel Gingerich and Christian and Doris Gingerich and his in-laws Ivan Wagler, Ervin and Emmeline Bast and a nephew Richard Gingerich. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday 2-6 p.m. and where the service will be held at 2.00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 with Pastor Amsey Martin officiating.
