Charles Sanders was born in Mexico.
He died Aprox. June 25, 1940.
He was murdered by his son-in-law Chester Phillips with the help of Charles' own children Florence Sanders Phillips, George Sanders and Joseph Sanders. In Shoshone's courthouse, July 1940, "the jury returned a verdict that Sanders hd died of exposure and that the four young persons were responsible. ( Idaho Evening Times, Twin Falls, Idaho July 1, 1940 - Feb. 5, 1941) Mr Charles Sanders was taken into the desert his hands and feet tied and he died of exposure.

The reason the youth gave for his death was retaliation for the abuse they had endured growing up.

He and Iona divorced a year before his murder.

His son George was pardoned if he fought in WWII. He did and fought hard. He was blown out of tank somewhere in the South Pacific. He was wounded and was a Purple Heart recipient. (as per his daughter and US Military records)
