Mrs. Elizabeth Blue Celebrates Eight-Second Birthday in Fitting Manner.

FLANAGAN - Last Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Bennett, took place one of those glad days that will be remembered by those present as one of the happiest events of their lives. Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends assembled to celebrate the 82nd birthday of Mrs. Elizabeth Blue, who is Mrs. Bennett's mother.

Mrs. Blue is the oldest living settler of Livingston County. Her parents settled in Rook's Creek when she was six months old. She has resided within a one mile radius for 81 and a half years.

She enjoys good health, being able to attend to all her household duties. She is the wife of B.H. Blue who died May 19, 1871. She has to cheer her in her declining days, the following children: Mrs. A.S. McMillan, Mrs. J. Neifing, of Pontiac, D.H. Blue, of Seneca, O.H. Blue, of Rook's Creek, Mrs. R.W. Algre of Fort Dodge, Ia., and Mrs. T.B. Bennett, of Flanagan.

The family, relatives and many friends helped to make the day a success.
