He lived in Omaha until moving to California in the early 1950s. He moved to Carter Lake, Iowa in 1983 and lived with his mother.
He was married to Dolores Ann Shively. They were blessed with a son.

Graveside services were Wednesday at the Blair Cemetery. Rev. David Ludwick officiated.
Left to cherish his memory are a son, Jeff (Bonnie) Hollingsworth of Omaha, Nebraska and a sister, Beverly (Eugene) Gilsdorf of South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; his parents and two brothers.
