He was born Feb. 22, 1898, in Camden, a son of James Bailey of Kentucky and Susan (Brown) Bailey of Missouri. He had lived all his life in Ray county.
On Jan. 12, 1924, he was married to Thelma Coffer of Ray county who survives.
Besides his wife of the home, 506 Park, Excelsior Springs, Mo., he is survived by one son, James C. Bailey of Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Anna Atterbury of Kansas City; one sister Mrs. Martha Mell of Santa Ana, Calif., five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A son, William T. Bailey, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Sheppard funeral home in Richmond, from 7 to 8 o'clock Saturday evening.
Sevices will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday at the Methodist church in Camden with the Rev. Robert Winters officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
