Dr. W. M. Blain, formerly of Lincoln, and Mrs. E. J. Freeman went to Jellico last Wednesday evening and were quietly married by Squire Early. They were accompanied on the trip by Dr. J. D. Adkins and Mrs. J. Marion Sullivan. They returned the same night and spent most of Thursday receiving the congratulations of their many friends. May they live long and happily and enjoy all the blessings, big and little, that come to bless the married estate. - Williamsburg Times

Mrs. Eliza J. Blain died Nov. 27 of pneumonia. She will be known to many readers of the I.J. as the wife of Dr. W.M. Blain, dec'd, who was raised in Lincoln county, but spent most of his life, after he became a physician here. Mrs. Blain was a native of this county and had lived in Williamsburg the most of her life. She was a member of the Christian church and had been for many years. Her funeral was preached by Elder W.J. Masters, of Corbin, after which her remains were buried in the Briar Creek Cemetery.
