Ted S Ranville, 86, of Inverness Township passed away on Sunday March 15, 1992 at his home following an apparent heart attack. Mr Ranville was born Dec 31, 1905 in Cheboygan, the son of Joseph and Rose (Jeffrey) Ranville. He was a member of the US Coast Guard as a young man and was employed with the State Highway Commission for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the former St Frances Church at Alverno.
Survivors include his nephews Arthur Ranville of Pigeon, Marcel Ranville of Grand Blanc, DeVere Ranville of Prudenville, Fred Ranvile and Joseph O'Grady of Cheboygan, and nieces Barbara Ranville and Ruth Gottheil of Cherry Hill, NJ, Roseanne Ranville and Jeanette Pouliot of Ft Myers Beach, FL, and Elaine (Mrs William) Hilden, Rose (Mrs Henry) Wixson, Marie Charboneau, Louise Jarnac, and Irene Ranville all of Cheboygan. He also leaves several great nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law Nada Ranville of Sterling.
Friends may call at the Christian Funeral Home tonight from 7 until 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9pm. There will be a scripture wake service held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8pm. The funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am at St Mary/St Charles Church. Burial will take place at St Francis Cemetery in Alverno. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to remember the Hospice of the Straits. Envelopes are available at the Christian Funeral Home.
