Mrs. Susie York of Dorsey died at her home Friday, June 3, of a stroke following an illness of two months. She was 81.

Services were held Saturday from Friendship Methodist Church with the Rev. W.C. McKay officiating. Burial followed in Walton Cemetery with Hawkins Funeral Home of Fulton in charge.

Her husband, Freeman York, died in 1943. Mrs. York had been a member of Friendship Methodist Church for 69 years.

She leaves one son, John Allen York of Dorsey; six daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Christian, Mrs. Clyda McCullough, Miss Elsie York, and Mrs. Sybil Hood, all of Guntown and Miss Rae York of Tupelo; one sister, Mrs. J.T. Grimes of Atmore, Ala.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
