Dale J. "Caveman" Cayemberg, 58, Green Bay, passed away on Aug. 23, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. His loving family was at his side. Dale was born on Oct. 9, 1952, in Green Bay, Wis., to Roland and Shirley (Matheys) Cayemberg. He attended Preble High School in Green Bay. He married the former Diane Maynard on July 15, 1972 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. He was employed with Vos Electric in Green Bay. Dale loved time with his family most of all but especially loved his grandchildren. He loved time up north in the Eagle River area, deer hunting, grouse hunting and fishing. He enjoyed camping, boating and four wheeling.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Diane, children, Tim Cayemberg, Green Bay, Darci (Keith) Zblewski,Rochester, Minn., and Becky (Scott) Leurquin, Green Bay, grandchildren, Hunter Cayemberg and Ethan Leurquin, father Roland (friend Ellen Solpher) Cayemberg, brothers and sisters, Marvin Cayemberg, Green Bay, Cletus (Laurie) Cayemberg, Shirley (Jim) Nitka, Debbie (Dave) Stanke, Jean Clark and Joan (Bruce) Emanuelson, as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 East Mason Street, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish Prayer Service Friday at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. when the funeral procession will leave for church. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, corner of Baird and University in Green Bay with Fr. Tony Cirignani officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
