Valliant, Feb. 6.--George Wesley Moye, for the past 31 years a Peace Officer of Valliant and McCurtain County, died at a hospital in Oklahoma City, Monday, February 1st and was buried in Valliant City Cemetery Wednesday, February 3rd.
The deceased had been in ill health for the past two years and had been taken to Oklahoma City for medical attention. He was a good citizen and was a pioneer settler in this part of the state. He was born in Saline County, Arkansas, in 1854, and lived to the good old age of 77.
He is survived by a widow, three sons, R.W. Moye of Talihina, and Wesley and Tommie Moye, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.G. Garrison of the local Methodist church.
