Unable to rally from an operation performed but a few days ago, Mrs.
Thomas Wetzel died at her home in this village at nine o'clock
Wednesday evening, Nov 15th. She had been ill but a short time. Julia
May Darrow was the daughter of W.K. and Emma J. Brown Darrow and
was born in this village on May 1st 1878. She was graduated from the
Richfield Spring High School in 1897.
In ApriI 1903, she was united in marriage in the city of New York with
Thomas Johnson Wetzel. The husband, the mother, two daughters,
Jane and Louise Wetzel, and a brother Benjamin Darrow, survive.
Much sympathy is felt for those who are bereaved by the death of My
Darrow Wetzel, and many friends will also mourn her loss. She was
exceedingly generous and good hearted and did many acts of kindness.
She was active in the social life of the village and could always be relied
upon to do a large share in the work of boosting Richfield springs as a
summer resort.
