Mrs. Pearl Jarrell of Orange, Va., died at 11:05 p.m. of Sunday at Ephrata Community Hospital. She was 78. Mrs. Jarrell had been living with her daughter in Ephrata for the past two weeks due to an illness following surgery three months ago at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Born in Madison County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary Lou Nicols Mauck. She was the widow of William B. Jarrell. She is survived by two daughters, Nora, wife of Chester Bingaman, Ephrata, with whom Mrs. Jarrell resided at the time of her death, and Mrs. Mary Watts, Orange, Va.
