Mrs. Adelia Akerson, 64 years of age, and a life-long resident of Lindstrom passed away Sunday morning, Aug 8 following an illness of several weeks duration. Death came as a result of a heart attack and other complications.

Mrs. Adelia Amanda Akerson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Magnuson was born May 1, 1879 near Lindstrom. She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Akerson on Sept 28, 1899. To this union was born one daughter, Eleanore, Mrs. Allen Wahlgren of Lindstrom.

On April 14, 1911, she was baptized and confirmed and became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Lindstrom. She remained a member of this church until death called her to become a member of the church triumphant.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon Aug 11. In absence of Rev. Haker, Rev Lyle C. Burns officiated. His sermon theme was from the 23rd Psalm, “The Lord Is My Shepherd.” The sorrowing comforted by the closing passage of this beautiful psalm, "And I Will Dwell In The House of the Lord Forever.” Two appropriate hymns were rendered by Rep A. F. Oberg, “In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”

Mrs. Akerson is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. Allen Wahlgren and one grandson Allen Jr. of Lindstrom, her father John Magnuson of Whithall, WI, two sisters, Ellen Magnuson of Minneapolis and Mrs. J. H. Lake of McMinnville, OR, four brothers, William of Whitehall, WI, Louis of Neillsville, WI and Henry of Minneapolis. Two sisters preceded her in death.

The floral tributes were many and beautiful. There were also two memorials, one to the Hearing aid by the Ladies Aid and one to missions by the Women's Missionary Society.

The pallbearers were: frank R. Victor, Edward Andrews, A. T. Malmberg, Fred Carlson, and Raymond Andrews.

A faithful wife and mother, Mrs. Akerson will be greatly missed but held in sacred remembrance by her loved ones.
