Houston Chronicle, June 5, 2003:

Walter J. Bell, age 65, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was born in Houston on Jan. 24, 1938 to the late Walter J. and Donnie (Culp) Bell, and was a retired aircraft mechanic.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Alice; three daughters, Darlaina (Sissy) Wright and husband, Pete, of Longview, Diana Gengenbach, Anita Kief and husband, Robert; two sons, David A. Bell and wife, Jodi, of Longview, C. Blake Bell and wife, Lisa, of Gladewater; three sisters, Jeweleen Alford, Jane Corrigan and husband, Brad, Wanda Hatcher and husband, Hayden; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many other friends and family.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 6, from 7 to 9 pm at Pat H. Foley & Co. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday at the chapel of Pat H. Foley, with interment to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice or American Cancer Society.
