Victor D Bartling, 78, of 2403 W 12 St died Sunday, Dec 6, 1998, at Summit Medical Center in Frisco, Colo.
Services are Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church. Additional services are at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Winslow. The Rev Carl H Rehwaldt will officiate at both services. Burial will be in Winslow. Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr Bartling was born Feb 10, 1920 to H.P. and Ida (Wolf) Bartling on the family homestead near Herman. On Feb 2, 1947, he married Mildred M Fischer. They farmed in the Hooper area. In 1959 he became a Farm Bureau Insurance agent. In 1960 they moved from Hooper to Hastings. He retired after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
survivors are his wife, one son, Stephen of Lincoln; one sister Evelyn Schwier of Omaha; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded n death by two daughters, Jane Bartling and Peggy Bartling and two brothers.
