According to his death certificate (informant Dr. J.P. Wood), he was born Doublelick, KY (Note: this was incorrect information; birth location was listed as Clover Bottom, Kentucky in his SS application). He was the son of William Sparks & Martha Drew, both of KY; spouse of Hermia Sparks. He was a miner & plasterer in the copper & gold mines; resident of AZ for 1 1/2 years.
