1) Cambridge Chronicle, 31 March 1900: Last Saturday, George W. Caldwell, Jr., passed away at his home, 42 Church street, after an Illness with consumption that lingered for two years. His age was 31 years, 3 months and 9 days. Mr. Caldwell was respected and esteemed among his many friends and acquaintances in Old Cambridge, where he had lived for the past 30 years. He was born In Somerville. As one who grew up, however, in Cambridge, attended school here and here began active life, his death will be most deeply mourned In this city. Mr. Caldwell leaves a widow and two children. The funeral was held from his late residence on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Arthur Peaslee, assistant rector of Christ church, officiating. Among the many handsome floral tributes, were a large pillow from his parents, a mound from his wife, a standing crescent from his ----, bouquets from Mrs Lottie F. Driscoll, Mrs. John J. Gabriel and family. Dr. M. H. Bailey (attending physician), Mr. F. R. Blake Mrs. Charles W. Rittenhaus, Mrs. Greenleaf, Mrs. Johnson, Miss Wilson, Mrs. Brooks, A. J. Cowan. 1. 1880 Census dated 9 June 1880 lists him as 11 years old (born 1869)
2. Marriage Record 16 May 1888 to Fannie McBrine lists his age as 21 (born 1867)
3. Marriage Record 18 June 1893 to Elizabeth Gould lists his age as 24 (born 1869)
4. Death Record 24 March 1900 lists his age as 31 years 3 months (born early 1869 or Dec 1968)
