Sarah "Jane" Dooley Kettlehake Tyree left this world at 6:00 AM Friday, November 14, 2008, in her residence to meet her Lord and join the family and friends that have gone on before.

Daughter of Harrison and Bertha (Edwards) Dooley, she was born February 27, 1927 on their 19th wedding anniversary in Charley, Kentucky.

Jane is survived by her husband Harry I. Tyree to whom she was married for 21 years, five daughters; Linda (Bill) Jones, Janie Wise, Joanie (Tom) Cullinan, Mary (Darryl) Benson and Bert ( Bob ) Druckenbroad, three sons: Lewis (Shirley) Kettlehake, Kenny (Marie) Kettlehake and Howard (Mitzi) Tyree, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren, two brothers: Hansford (Vi) and Allie Jay (Mary) Dooley, three sisters in law: May Dooley, Jane Dooley and Ernestine Tyree, special nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Lewis R. Kettlehake, two sons: Ray and Jon Kettlehake, three grandchildren and one great grandchild, three sisters; Bertha M. Gibson, Sadie Hayes and Nellie Young, six brothers; Arnold, Hebert, Glennie, Asa Dewey and Albert Dooley.

Jane never met a stranger and those who knew her well will not soon forget her distinctive voice and contagious laugh. She jokingly said she wanted to be remembered by her beautiful smile and pretty fingernails. Life wasn't always kind to Jane but she always believed a positive attitude and laughter were the best medicine and her long happy life seems to prove she was right. She will be missed but to the family she loved more than life she will always be alive in their hearts and never more than a loving thought away. Hopefully her friends will think of her and smile.

She appreciated the love and thoughtfulness of her friends at Eternal Life Ministry and her friends at Elderly United CARE made every other Thursday special. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either of the above.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 8:0 PM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of Jane's life will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Kreig officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Special thanks to Dr. John Sutter, Dr. Salim Dahdah and their staff for making Jane's later life so much easier.
