Memorial service for Derrell Moore, 70, Lawton, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Wade Noble, minister, North Congregation Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Mr. Moore died Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1933, in Phillipsburg, Mo. to Marvin and Rissie Clark Moore. He moved to Ivanhoe, Calif., and graduated from high school in Visalia, Calif. He joined the Army in 1950, and served in the Korean War until 1953. He married Evelyn Upchurch on June 27, 1954, in Gardnersville, Nev. He was an over the road truck driver for KLX as well as other trucking facilities. He retired in 2000 after 46 years, and moved to the Lawton area. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Mikel and Ami Moore, Lawton; a sister-in-law, Paulina Logan, Lawton; a nephew and spouse, Tom and Sherry McCasland, Lawton; a granddaughter, Ashlyn Joy Moore, Lawton; two brothers: Bob Moore, Visalia, and Eddie Moore, Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Beverly Boldenvinder, Canada.
