Martin Preitauer, 83, a former Dubuquer, died Monday in Henning, Minn, according to word received here Tuesday.
Mr. Preitauer was born Nov. 6, 1857, at St. Sebald, Ia, and lived at Strawberry Point for many years.
Surviving are four children, George and Fred Preitauer, and Mrs. Walter Van Every, all of Henning, and Mrs. Gus H. Koscitzke of Appleton, Minn; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Koeneman, Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Schell, Mrs. John (Anna) Vogel, and Mrs. Frank (Julia) Sitterly, all of Dubuque; one brother Jake Preitauer of Dubuque; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife (Lizzie), one son, a sister (Catherine Fleihler), and four brothers (John, Fred, Gus, Gottlieb John).
Burial will be Friday in Henning.
