William Taylor Forrester of Hurdland, 85, Dies Monday Evening In Quincy

William Taylor Forrester of Hurdland died at 9:15 o’clock Monday evening, Aug. 15, 1955, at the home in Quincy of a daughter, Lola, Mrs. O. D. Swearingen, where he had been the last five weeks, eight days before his eighty-sixth birthday.

His body was brought to the Hudson Funeral Home in Edina, where funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon by the Rev. Merle J. White, pastor of the Assembly of God Church. Burial was in the cemetery at Greensburg.

Mr. Forrester is survived by two sons, James Forrester of Burlington, Iowa, and William Forrester of Novelty; two daughters, Mrs. Swearingen at whose home death came and Mrs. Margaret Waterman of Carmon, Ill.; a brother, Thomas B. Forrester of Milan, Mo., and twenty-four grandchildren.

William Taylor Forrester was a son of John and Louella Fowler Forrester and was born Aug. 23, 1869, in Scotland County. He was married Nov. 14, 1891, to Sarah Jane Fiscus and she died May 1, 1945.
