From the Bellingham Herald of 23 Aug 1987:
A funeral for Ellen B. Burrows, 101, of 5280 Northwest Road, will be at 10 am Mon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Derrill Adair will officiate. Mrs. Burrows died Tues in Bellingham.

Burrows was born July 8, 1886, near St. John, Arizona Territory. She spent her first years in Malta, Mont, where her parents were homesteaders. She married her husband, Mort, in 1907, and ranched near the gold-mining region of Zortman, Mont.

Following her husband's death, Burrows moved to Mesa, AZ where she worked at the Mesa Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She lived the past 2 years in Nor-Bell Nursing Home and was popular with the nurses and staff. She was a member of the Ferndale First Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

An only child with no children of her own, she is survived by her foster family, Glen and Della Nelson of Ferndale and Blain Nelson of Bellingham.

Burial in Enterprise Cemetery will follow Monday's funeral. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home.
