Glenn Ray Flippin, 58 of Midland, passed away on Thursday,May 29, 2003, surrounded by family at his home. A memorial service will be heldat 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland withRev. William Clardy, associate pastor, officiating. Glenn was born on July 15, 1944, in Lamesa, Texas and married Lugene Graham onJuly 27, 1963 in Lamesa, Texas. He was a graduate of Spartan Aeronautical School in Tulsa and moved to Midlandin 1967. For 20 years, Glenn worked as an aircraft mechanic beforeestablishing Flippin Aviation in 1987.He retired in October 2002 due to poor health. Glenn was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, twice a PastMaster of Acacia Masonic Lodge # 1414 A.F. & A.M, member and past President of theMidland Shrine Club and past District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Texas. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lugene Flippin of Midland, Texas; onedaughter, Glenna Lugene Flippin of Dallas, Texas; one son and his wife J. Graham and LauraFlippin of Houston, a long awaited grandchild, Mikayla Marie Flippin of Houstonand a brother, Kenneth Jay Flippin of Keller, Texas. Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in c/o of MidlandShrine Club, PO Box 80203, Midland, Texas 79709 and to Hospice of Midland, 911W. Texas, Midland, Texas 79701. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home& Crematory of Midland.
