Henry Arthur Abbott was born to Guy Abbott and Hallie Verna Abbott. He married Sallye Bill Spratt on June 21, 1947 and to that union issue was born -

Henry Arthur Abbott was born in Dallas, Texas May 7, 1929. Henry grew up in Dallas, graduated from Crozier Tech High School, and began his printing career as a teenager with Williams Printing. He was employed by the Dallas Morning News for 39 years working his way up from printer to composing room supervisor. He was a pioneer in converting the Dallas News from mechanical to computerized operations.
Henry served honorably as an aerial gunner in the U.S. Naval Air Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Abbott was a devoted family man. He and Sallye were married for fifty-six years and raised two daughters.
Henry attended Southern Methodist University, San Diego State University and the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Marching Patrol and a Shriner in Hella Temple. In addition to his career at the Dallas News, he also pursued his love of home building in the 50's, 60's and 70's.
Mr. Abbott was a Christian and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson. He was a faithful member of a men's Bible fellowship where he contributed a mature understanding and passion for his faith in Jesus. In death, he has joined the host of the redeemed and all the holy angels in the presence of our Lord Jesus, there to worship and enjoy Him for eternity.
