Hinesburg -- Mrs. Mary Emmons, 79, died Tuesday in Waterbury after a long illness. She was formerly of Hinesburg and Burlington. She was born in Shelburne April 24, 1900, daughter of Sam and Jennie (Getso) Myers. She leaves a son, Durwood of Barre; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Jude's Church in Hibesburg. Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the Gifford Funeral Home in Richmond.
Death record says born 4/24/1900 but gravestone and census are 1897.
