Edd Douglass "Doug" Black, age 66, passed away at his home in Memphis, TN on Thursday evening, August 18, 2011. Graveside Funeral Services will be Monday, August 22, in the Stanton Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday, August 22, at Stanton United Methodist Church in Stanton, TN from 1- 2 p.m.. He was preceded in death by his father: James Carl Black. He is survived by his wife: Kay Buchanan Black, two sons: Jason Douglass Black (Megan), Charles Clifton Black (Melissa), a daughter: Ashley Scott Black all of Memphis, TN, his mother: LaJeanne Black, two brothers: Buddy Black (Dale), Milton Black (Kathy) all of Brownsville, TN, two sisters: Betty Alcorn (John) Livingston, TN and Melanie Abel (Reiders) of O'Fallon, MO and two grandchildren: Samuel Douglass Black and Gates Marie Black. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Stanton Cemetery or Stanton United Methodist Church, c/o Hobbie Woods, 3356 Stanton-KoKo Rd., Stanton, TN 38069 or the Baptist Trinity Hospice Unit, c/o J.
