CLAXTON - Sallie Kate Evans, 78, passed away March 29, 2008, at The Place at Pooler in Pooler, GA. She lived most of her life in Savannah. She loved to sew and was a dedicated housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aron B. and son Bernnie B. Evans. Survivors: two sons and daughters in law, Charlie S. and Wanda of Rincon, Wayne and Mary of Ellabell; two daughters, Glennis and Ricky Boyles of Rincon, Kay and Marion Isom of Savannah; two brothers, Jay Williamson of McRae, Bobby Williamson of Savannah; three sisters, Marjorie Lee of Savannah, Betty Mooore of Twin City and Bonnie Phillips of Rincon; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Monday, March 31, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral: Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11:00 an 2008 at J. Mellie Nesmith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Evergreen Church Cemetery.
