Gone to Her Rest.
During Thursday night Mrs. A. N. Hawver, mother of Dr. J. C. Hawver of Auburn, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. Godfrey, in Nevada City. She retired at the usual hour in her ordinary health, and her decease was not known until her daughter entered the room to call her in the morning.

Deceased was born in Walworth, Wisconsin, and came to California with her husband from Illinois, arriving at Sacramento in 1853. After living in San Benito and Santa Clara counties, in 1870 the family removed to Nevada City, which has been the home since.

Two sons, Dr. J. C. Hawver, of Auburn, Dr. H. D. Hawver of Spokane, Wash., and four daughters, Mrs. W. R. Johnson of Pacific Grove, Mrs. P. L. Moodie of Los Angeles, Mrs. L. Moodie of Bakersfield, and Mrs. S. Godfrey of Nevada City remain to treasure her worth and goodness.

The funeral will be held at the Walsh-Keena undertaking parlors, tomorrow forenoon. Rev. F. R. Winsor of the M. E. church, conducting the services. Interment in Odd Fellows’ cemetery.

Gravesite Details

According to her mortuary record she is buried here, but there is no record of where she is buried according to the office. There is a burial plot purchased by their son JC Hawver and she is possibly buried there.
