Amolia Adloff was born in Bad Tennstedt, Sachsen, Germany the daughter of Ferdinand Adloff (1842-1890) and Wilhelmina (Rost) Adloff (1830-1912). She came to the U.S. around 1883. On April 8, 1897 she married Henry Sembell in St. Johns German Lutheran Church in Springfield. They had 6 Children: Charles William (1898-1909); Caroline Wilhelmina (1899-1946); Albert Henry (1901-1977); George Fredrich (1903-?); William Julius (1905-?) and Ruth Margaret (1909-?). Amolia (Adloff) Sembell passed away February 28, 1947. Services were held at St. Johns Lutheran Church on March 3, 1947 with Rev. William W. Roth officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
