DECATUR - Samuel Wilbur Primmer, 83, Decatur, former Mansfield and White Heath resident, died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital after an illness of a year and a half.
He had operated a barber shop in Decatur for more than 40 years.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the J>J> Moran & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Primmer was born Jan. 15, 1875, near Mansfield, a son of Peter and Minerva Davis Primmer. He moved to Decatur from White Heath.
He leaves his wife Dora B., to whom he was married May 26, 1920: two daughtes, Mrs Helen Dunn, Peoria, and Mrs. Vienns Hunt, Decatur; a son, Clifford Shull, Peoria; a foster daughter, Mrs Margurite Mooney, Palo Alto, Calif.; two brothers, John, Champaign, and Albert, Monticello; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Smith, Centerville; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
