Lucinda Autrey was the daughter and third child of Absalom Autrey and Elizabeth Norris. Absalom Autrey was born on August 11, 1802 in North Carolina and married Elizabeth Norris on February 22, 1826 in Perry County, Alabama. They relocated to Union Parish, Louisiana with purpose of planting. This sect of land is now known as a portion of Lincoln parish, which was carved out of Union and Jackson parishes. Several members of the Autrey family eventually settled in the Dubach/Hico area of Lincoln parish.
