METTER -- Mrs. Martha Banks Donaldson Hodges, 80, died Dec. 23 at Candler County Hospital. She was born in Bulloch County and lived near Metter most of her life. She was a former licensed practical nurse and retired insurance agent with American Family Life Assurance Co. She was a member of Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: her husband, George W. Hodges of Metter; two sons, J.B. Donaldson of Dallas, Ga., and Mark Donaldson of Register; three daughters, Sue Aranio of Pooler, Dale Joiner of Statesboro and Sara Kitchens of Martinez; a brother, Henry Banks Sr. of Statesboro; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL: 2 p.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, Metter, burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
