Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church for Mrs. Aeolian O'Bannon Baker Hardy, 88, who died Monday night in a Ruston hospital. Interment was in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Conger's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Hardy, including John Barr, Warren Barr, Don Otho Baker, L.T. Baker Jr., John D. Baker, and Raymond W. Baker.
Mrs. Hardy was born in Claiborne Parish and later her family moved to Mt. Lebanon where she resided for the past 67 years. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon College in 1888. Survivors include four sons, J.W. Baker and L.T. Baker of Shreveport, Don R. Baker of Leland, Mississippi, and Hugh M. Baker of Alexandria; one daughter, Mrs. J.M. Barr of Ruston, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
