Brother of Dr. O.O. Hamner Dies After Long Illness
W.B. [sic] Hamner, age 80 years, brother of Dr. O.O. Hamner of Arcadia, died at his home in Sibley last Saturday following a long illness. Funeral services were held at Sibley Baptist Church Sunday, March 21, with Rev. D.O. Christian, pastor of the Sibley church, officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
Surviving are six sons, E.A. and D.C. Hamner of Shreveport, E.B of Bossier City, O.L. of Sibley, E.E. of Minden and E.M. Hamner of Sibley; two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Cooke of Sibley and Mrs. T.J. Smith of Jamestown. Also 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
