Mary Ann Tharp was the daughter of Charles Tharp 1743-1835 and Elizabeth Depriest 1773-1858. Her first marriage was to Charles Milburn b. abt 1818 d. bef. 1850. They had four children: (1) Charles William Milburn b. abt 1833 that married Adelia C. Smedley. (2) S. Ellen Milburn b. abt 1837 (3) John H. Milburn 1844-1908 that married Dora Corker. (4) Martha Elenor Milburn 1845-1921 that married William Thomas Dorsett 1844-1911. Mary Ann Tharp Milburn then married William Harvey Slaughter 1818-1898. They had four children: (1) James Richard Slaughter 1853-1926 that married Sarah Frances "Fannie" Johnson 1852-1915 (2) Robert Lucian Slaughter 1855-1929 that first married Emma ?1851-1879 (buried in this cemetery) and then Elizabeth "Kate" Wright 1862-1928. (3) Adelia Ann Slaughter 1859-1937 that married John Milton Wyman 1854-1935 (4) Frances H. Slaughter 1863-(1895-1900) that married Walter Henry Backus 1869-bef 1920.
