Mr. Maxwell died on Wed., March 9, 2005, in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born on July 23, 1925, in Putnam County to the late Bailey and Velma Love Maxwell.
Mr. Maxwell was an Air Force Retired Master Sgt. He was a member of VFW of Rutherford County. Since retiring from the USAF in 1969, he was a resident of Murfreesboro.
His family includes his wife, Connie M. Maxwell of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Deborah A. Magill and Barbara Lynn McClain, both of Murfreesboro; a son, Michael L. Maxwell of Murfreesboro; a daughter-in-law, Linda Harper-Maxwell of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren, Ryan John-Anton Hanley, Ian Thomas and Eric Michael Magill, Mellissa, Jason and Joshua Maxwell, all of Murfreesboro; a great-grandson, Anthony Maxwell of Murfreesboro; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Lee Donald Maxwell of Indianapolis, Ind., William Dow Maxwell of Lebanon, and Jack and Linda Maxwell of Cookeville; a sister, Geneva Holland of Osprey, Fla.; four sisters-in-law, Theoplis Maxwell of Redford, Mich., Starr Maxwell, Melba Maxwell and Margaret McDowell, all of Cookeville; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas W. Maxwell; four brothers, Eugene, Lloyd, Bailey Jr. and K.D. Maxwell; and two sisters, Katherine Maxwell and Delores Lee.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
John McDowell and William McDowell officiated at the services.
