The silent reaper has again visited this community and taken one of the land marks. One whom everyone who knew will mourn his going.
As he was familiarly known, "Uncle Dan" was a most genial companion, who by his sunny disposition, pleasant smiling countenance and hearty had clasp drew all people to him and made of them life-long friends. His life bore out one of his last utterances "that he loved everybody."
His big heart beat with sympathy for all the unfortunate, and many a fireside will miss the comforts and good cheer which was theirs during Uncle Dan's lifetime.
His was a successful life for added to the above mentioned attributes, he was a successful man financially. His purse was always open to assist in any worthy cause.
He was a loving, indulgent father, an ideal husband and a steadfast friend.
The Standard extends its sympathy to the bereaved family.
Daniel M. Albright was born March 6, 1835, in North Carolina. Died in Skidmore, Mo., March 24, 1901. He had not been in robust health for some years, being afflicted with heart trouble which eventually caused his death.
He leaves a widow, Mrs. Ann Albright, and nine children, Thomas Albright, Jerry Albright, Mrs. Bud Owens, Mrs. Daniel Shaw, Charley, Roy, Ed, and Misses Anna and Dora Albright.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. D. W. Conner, assisted by Rev. Lane Douglas, at the Christian church, Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, March 24. After which he was laid to rest in the Masonic cemetery."
