The people of Mt. Lebanon and surrounding section are shocked and grieved beyond expression at the death of Mrs. R.H. Courtney, which sad event occurred at the Highland sanitarium, Shreveport, where she was a patient, Thursday, Nov. 24th. Although ill for several days, her death was unexpected and expressions of regret and sorrow come from hundreds of friends.
Mrs. Courtney was a sister of the late W.C. Robinson for many years president of Mt. Lebanon College, and one of the foremost educators of the state. She was a tremendous factor in the moral and social uplift of the community at a time when the country so sorely needs that inspiration which her life and character gave to us.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Bozeman of Oil City and a son, Fred Courtney of Shreveport.
