Varient spellings: Meryl, Merle, Merl, Myrl.

Meryl is a son of Berlin "Burr" and Mary (Blick) Goff. His parents married in 1907 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Burr Goff left his family home in Scotland Co. Missouri, and went west to Fort Morgan, Colorado. His sister Pearl Goff and brother Albert Goff also went to Fort Morgan. Burr was one of 11 children born to William Henry Taylor Goff (1849-1918) and Barbara Ellen Godwin (1852-1944).

In 1910, Meryl's parents Burr and Mary Goff, resided in Colorado. Shortly after, the family left for Idaho, stopping in Nebraska in 1912. Meryl was born in York, Nebraska in 1912. The family continued on to Twin Falls County, Idaho, where they took up residence and remained in the area.

Meryl married Goldie Woodruff on 26 Jan 1938. They resided in Buhl and raised four children. My parents enjoyed meeting Meryl and Goldie on their yearly trips to Buhl and Twin Falls.
