Joe was a quiet man; lived alone for several years in the Green Hill area. That is were we met and found out we were cousins. We use to stop by and talk to him on the way up to El Reposo to see my mother inlaw. He always had time for a few words.

George Joseph "Joe" Hardwick, age 95, of Killen, Ala., passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at his residence after a brief illness.
Mr. Hardwick was a native of West Point, Tenn., retired from the lumber mill and of the Church of Christ faith.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

George Joseph 'Joe' Hardwick lays at rest in the Shiloh Cemetery, in Lawrence County, Tennessee. His father was George Mack Hardwick who died at the age of 31 from internal injuries received from a falling tree, he lays at rest in Westpoint Cemetery, Lawrence County, Tennessee and his mother was Clara Mae Horne (Hardwick- Cannon), she married Ed Cannon in 1922 after Georges Death. Clara lays at rest in Mt. Zion (also known as Knob Creek) Cemetery, in Lawrence County, Tennessee
