Services were held Jan. 31 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, with private inurnment following in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Memorial contributions may be madeto the Heart Fund or to Highland Lutheran Church in LaCenter. Born Oct. 7, 1914, in Norfork, Neb.,Mrs. Bird had lived in LaCenter for 30years. She was co-owner and operator ofBird's Market in LaCenter for 28 years. Her husband, Eugene Bird, is present mayor of LaCenter. She was a member of the Methodist Church, LaCenter Grange and LaCenter Wheel Club.
